My Friends, this is another one of my wood carving work that belongs to the theme "human animal." "Motherhood" is an artwood that, definitely, is not what it seems to be.

Watching  with a inattentive look, we will see just one breastfeeding common scene, with another person in the background watching with an expression of contentment. But, if we look well in this woodcraft, we´ll can see something seemingly stranger with the child.

This baby, breastfed by a woman with golden hair, looks like a "puppy", because an infant with hairy ear, hairy arm and pointed ear definitely is not an ordinary child. It´s a newborn human-animal fusion.

The woman who offers her breast for a hybrid human-animal, in order to nourish and strengthen the "puppy", could not have his hair colorized with another color, but the gold. The Compassion and the greatness of the humanity being used to increase power to no human figure deserves, certainly, be exalted with the color of the sun.

Several females of different animals already offered her breast to others who are not of their kind, such as the famous "wolf" would have nursed the founders of Rome. This behavior is virtuous, and the sight of a human being behaving with such compassion is to dignify. All this demonstrates intensely the importance to look at the wild world, because it can to redeem us, both as animals, and as beings who seek balance and harmony.

The vision of contentment from the woman in the background reinforces that this type of action thrills mankind in that it still has power. It shows us that, despite everything, we still have something inside us with talent to recognize the virtue and greatness, even existing a structure that conditions us to be indifferent to it.

woodcarving

This image of human compassion remembers the "ancient mankind", lost humanity that human beings need to recover urgently. It also shows something that i like to present in my woodcarving, that healthy and harmonious connections are ever possible when we think about the important, inevitable and indispensable relationship between humanity and the wild.
